Drawn to the standard.

We check every design against the laws, standards and guidelines that apply to underground cables and pipelines. On top of that, we follow our own rules that no standard requires. We keep the two deliberately separate.

Which standard, in which phase.

For each standard you see where it plays a role in the project. Filter by topic or choose a phase.

Our own practice

What we add ourselves.

None of this is in any standard. These are rules we impose on ourselves, because they make it traceable afterwards who did what.

  1. Four eyes on every drawing

Whoever makes a drawing does not approve it. A second engineer checks every drawing before it reaches you.

  2. Approval on a fixed version

An approval applies to one specific version of the document. If anything changes afterwards, a new version and a new review follow.

  3. Everything traceable

Every upload, download, change and approval is in an activity log that cannot be altered afterwards.

  4. Data in Europe

Drawings and project data are stored encrypted on our own server in Germany, accessible only with two-factor authentication.

An engineer and a site manager discuss the risk classes of a crossing on a laptop, with route drawings on the table.

CROW 500 in practice.

Each interface gets a risk class, a measure and an alignment status per grid operator. Before construction, it is clear where extra care is needed and who is responsible for it.

  1. Risk class per interface
  2. Measure, such as a trial trench or hand digging
  3. Alignment status per grid operator

A question about a standard or an asset owner’s requirement?

Put it to one of our engineers. We will take a look, even if your project is still in the exploration phase.
